yeah i was out there and i saw your run i went looking for you in the pit but i never found you we will have to exchange number before we go again. i also saw the only ty make a run i went down to talk to him but right after he run he never stopped and left was that you talking to him at the end of the night???
Man, so you was there pretty early too. When i got there i ran and figured no one would be there that early. I got there around 6:45 and was car 71. So you got to see the run...pretty pathetic huh... I figure its 70/30. 70% the clutches fault, 30% my fault cause I'm scared to push it too hard, i never even went over 85% throttle. You see last year after i got the twin-turbo conversion finished, i didn't spend much time tuning it and i was still running the non-turbo ECU. The first and only run pushed out 14.1 and spun a rod bearing. So now I'm on my second engine, this time i used a VR4's ECU and the tune is much better, but now i cant get past the fear of pushing it too hard. Then last Nov. i lined up against my buddies Prelude and he was talking smack so i figured i would go all out this time. Well i went all out and so did the clutch. Wouldn't catch in second gear at all then barely caught in 3rd. The car needs a few things before i can trust racing it full-out again. Funny thing is it all the same stuff my Ty needs...so in that case its hard for me to decide which one has priority. The mitsu is my daily driver, makes about 300hp and still gets 360 miles to a tank of gas. The Ty would be my daily driver if it would get more than 275 miles to a tank. Both the mitsu and Ty run on premium so thats not really a factor.
Some things i need for my 3000GT are Alky Injection, new Clutch, install this LSD i have collecting dust for nearly a year now, install the new downpipe i have also had forever. I think if i could get these things taken care of, she might be able to squeeze out a mid 13.

after that i got distracted by a regal t-type that ran a low 10 and went to talk to him since i have one sitting on the side of my house waiting to be fixed the guy workes at Nellis as a fighter jet mechanic go figure i quess you need all that training to get our car running right cause it was nice!!!!
That cool, i didn't get to see it run so i didn't know it was that fast... i did see it in the pits but he had a dozen people around him so i just looked at the car. Funny, i too am a fighter jet mechanic (F-16's) out at Nellis. Been doing it for 9 years, calling it quits soon, in fact i dropped my resume with Lockheed Martin yesterday so hopefully i can get a job with them doing the same thing i do now, only i will be a civilian and will get paid double what i get now.

Hell ya! Do a mini-carshow kinda thing in the pits area. But with the way my Ty is being, in need of a trany, torque converter and now a radiator, I'm thinking the next closest race day that it
might be back together for is the April 31 race night.
Okay, now for the apologies... I just got off work after being there for 13 hours turning wrenching and I'm beat. Not thinking straight either, so if anything i said above doesnt make since, I'm sorry. And my apologies for rambling on...
