They aren't making the ultimate's any more. They are supposed to start making just the regular ultimate again, but just for stock injectors.
try www.sytychips.com they have a contact email on the webpage. Maybe for the right amount of $ they might be willing to do something. You may be able to tune your fuel pressure with an AFPR & a wideband to use the E85. You should be able to run much more timing on the E85 too.

I need to talk to them too, my STG ultimate for 50# injectors is running my truck soo rich the exaust is black even on the lowest setting, and on all of the others too. IF YOU ARE READING THIS PLEASE RETURN MY EMAILS OR PM ME OR SOMETHING!!! My reg email is z28camaro78383@aol.com. Why is everything a PITA with these trucks. Sorry to hi-jack the thread, I was going to start my own, but this one was right here. I have a 50# chip, can't guarantee it wont do the same thing to your truck though.

The 50# chips have open loop fueling (which mean the ECM doesn't compensate for rich or lean during part throttle driving). Have you tried lowering your Fuel Pressure?

Brian Green did a majority of the programming/tuning of the Ultimate. He no longer owns a SyTy, so I think it would be difficult to do so. Also its time consuming to do a complete one off chip (ie expensive). You may want to learn/or wait for the programming of the new code for 749.

If anybody thinks they can buy an "off the shelf" chip for these trucks and it runs GREAT they are wrong IMO. I have yet to see 2 50# trucks run the same. Too many variables, as when you go larger injectors typically there are other variable that play a big part (heads, cam, altitude, weather, mileage, bore, rings, ......)
What you will also find is 90% of the time someone with "CHIP" issues, turns out to be another issue.
You are going to find me become a grumpy old man and play the tuning strings more and more.

I'm having the same trouble with my Ultimate for 50#'s but I have been messing with it & haven't ruled out the fact that I may have a totally different issue. I do my own LS1 tuning with HP tuners, but don't have the stuff to do Syty tuning yet, don't worry, I know the benefits of tuning & will be burning my own stuff as soon as I can free up some $.

Hey, why do I never hear anyone talking about the Stand Alone option? The stand alone lets you adjust fuel ratio's at any rpm as well as volumetric efficencies and the like. My Dak 408 had the FAST. I here the Delphi is for more user friendly, although I liked the FAST. Anyhow, the guys who run FAST, at TCI, are some really down to earth nice guys.
With that, what are those who are self tuning using to tune with, and how does it compare to a Stand Alone system?

Stand alones are nice and can offer features our stock ECM cannot like e tranny control, etc.
They are pricey though. Figure 2500 or so, and it still doesn't tune itself. Sure the user interface is somewhat easier since it was designed for that.
With any thing there are good and bad. Most stand alones dont' have boost control built in, some don't have TCC lockup, etc etc. You can't go down to Pep boys and get another one in an emergency.
All really depends what your goals, etc to determine what option is best for each person. Expense typically kills it for most.

Have it at 38 lbs. Should I go lower??? I would think that would kill it at full throttle.

Thanks Cloneman, :tup: I PMed him, waiting for a response, I just want my damn truck to be out of the shop. If my loan goes through looks like I might be getting a Clone too. Hell, at least I will have one truck that runs, ha.
