Mounting lower cche in grille

I remember a while ago seeing a member posts pics of an intercooler set up forsale (i think ANTHONY might of been the one). He had a spearco upper with a dequick lower.
The lower heat exchanger was mounted in the grille, infront of the consendor. do you think there is any advantage of havnt it in the grille instead of under the bumper?

i have a dequick lower so mounting is the easy part and i dont have my pump mounted anywhere near it.

any input or results? Opinions wanted

One would think it will block more air to the radiator, which can cause a truck to run hotter.

Why, or what makes you want to put it there?

although I agree with the above post about it blocking a good amount of air to the radiator.. one would have to think that the cche would be exposed to alot more air flow by being mounted behind the grill.. and I do believe it was Anthony who had good results with that setup both on the dyno and at the track before selling it. Might want to pm him about it for the hell of it.

All the larger (and best) A2A and A2W I.C.'s are in High flow areas and it's not just due to size. The flow behind the grill is better there than the stock location. Think about it, if the flow was real good for the stock location, why would there be the "Blade of Death" and the home made garbage can scoops?

Any heat or air blockage to the radiator is negligible. Try it, trust me it will make a difference!

Thats what i thought also it will keep my rear lower heat exchanger from rock smashing area. I was just curious if anyone had and results from it. When i pull my motor im going to go through it all and see what happens

i think it would help wit cooling, instead of running extra fans and a 10 pumps i would try a different location. Think about it, if you put a A2A in the grille its going to block the radiator. OR if you buy the ATR aux cooler its going to do the same thing... or aux trans cooler, etc etc..... It cant hurt!
