MSBC-1 MultiStage Boostcontroller questions

Just got my MSBC-1 and other stuff in from Pete Humblias this weekend.
Everything is fine, thanks Pete!!!
After spending some time reading the instructions I've got
a few questions.

Some of you are using this unit and recommended it for SyTy's over
Apexi's play station like units and others...

After looking into its functionality I feel (#1) that it has been designed
for stick shift appz were it gives you greater flexibility in adjusting boost
curves thru out the different gears and (#2) its design also enhances 2WD appz.
were getting power to the ground without spinning is an issue and
therefore lower boost buildup in lower gears is helpful.

So what does the MSBC-1 for an AWD auto. Truck?
Is it really just the two solenoids that offer faster reaction and better
control of the waste gate? Is it the race feature/Launch mode that allows
setting a target boost level for staging?

Further questions are:

Do we eventually have a signal that could be fed into the MSBC-1's auto function
that usually gets triggered by a switch on the clutch to let the unit know
when gears are changed so it can change to the next stage? I could then
use 4 of its stages for 4 different boost settings in the 3 gears plus overdrive.
Would I wanna do this? Do I need 4 different boost settings on a SyTy at all?
Does it make sense to slow down boost buildup in our appz. and if yes why and when?

Other scenario: How about setting up the 5 stages to match 5 different programs
on the Ultimate and switch manually? Only stage 1 could then be used for drag racing since Launch mode
only works out of stage 1. I could put 24 PSI boost on stage 1 and run it along with T3 24 and Alky "on" right?
But what do I need the MSBC-1 for then?

So all comes back to better boost control over the stock solenoid and precise launch boost off the line, is that it?

How did you guys setup the MSBC-1???

Just wanted to gather some response on my conclusions... ;-)

thnx

race or get outta the way
i have one will be using the following features

launch controll interfaced with line locks and dfi7 2step rev limiter for launch.

At this point i dont see the need yet for using different stages as i go down the track.

however the ramps, i beleive will ultimatley allow me to fine tune boost after leaving the line to max the boost without tire spin.

all the rubber lines you see have since been changed to an4 and SS.

Innovative says the larger the id on the lines the better the unit will work.

(hey daron it works!) :)

Thnx Ed

So you will be working with stage 1 only, fiddeling with the ramp to get max possible boost build up leaving the line.
Guess I won't have that much power to care about spinning wheels so far.
But I was right, there are not so many features of this unit that we can use?
How is your tranny doing Ed? I once spent a whole sat morning reading thru this monster post. ;-)
Do you think George has cooled down enough so I can ask him for a tranny build up? :-?

cheers

i am totally done with a 700r4
I now have a full race auto shifting turbo 400 from rossler.
see the tech write up in the tech articles section.

I am very happy now.

one other thing, with my msbc set to 12psi for launch mode, i leave the line with exactly 10.4 psi. I need to leave a bit lower so i will problably be changing the base spring in the innovative minigate. A lower spring will allow that much more control during launch mode. i.e allow more fine tuning of the launch.
