Correct. GW tire is by far the cheapest tire place around. It was also the only place that I didn't have to schedule a alignment and wait all day to get her back. They were also the only ones who would set my camber to -1degrees.
Great shop. The only complaint I have is that I have to request and watch them torque my lugs or else they will impact gun them on.

I put in some new rear shocks yesterday (bilstien HD's).
Today I entered it in a car show an won 3rd place for SUV class, even though I didn't even wash or vacuum it lol...

I wasn't paying attention, but I think it was a Trailblazer SS clone that was bagged with TVs and airbrushed and crap (a real show car). And a lifted 4x4 blazer that was just clean as hell.

Today I changed out the fan, distributor, cap, rotor, wires, coil. The old distributor was very rusty and had stripped threads for the cap on one side. I got a bigger MSD coil and Taylor wires and a 3000cfm fan. I wired the fan to a switch on my dash so I can turn it on when I am in stop and go traffic and want air going throught the intercooler.
It now runs a lot smoother overall, especially at idle and when accelerating from low RPM's.
I started installing my vacuum kit for a stock engine and quickly realized that my engine is missing a lot of stock smog control peices. I'll have to look into it more when I have a little more time to spend on it.

the jeep steering shafts are impregnated with plastic so that they are solid but compress under impact. so yes you will have to take a torch and burn out the plastic.
found this out the hard way, and some shafts even after never free up...it took 2 tries to get one that worked
I'm a little ticked off today because the brand new Jeep steering shaft that I ordered came in today the telescoping shaft was completely seized. After and hour or so of trying every trick in the book. Including trying to break it free with a hydraulic press. I called to send it back. The customer service lady said, " they solder it before shipping, all you need to do is heat it up and tap it with a hammer". lol...that is the first thing I did. So I am going to send it back for another one, and so I am delayed once again!

Have you considered installing a '92 - '94 style back glass? My Ty had the metal frame style on it when I bought it and replacing it with a '92 piece really improved the look of mine. The metal on mine was rusting and looked terrible.

I actually really want to do this eventually, I had not really looked into it yet so I didn't know where to get them, but now I do... thanks!
I will be starting with the body work soon I'll do it after that probably.

So today I fanally gave in and ordered a Belltech lowering kit. 2" in the rear and 3" in the front. The rear is already 1" lower due to Ty leafs. It should arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

Don't know how I missed this build. Looking sweet man... Judging from the pics I'd say you're in Jersey as well. Let me know when if want/need a Ty interior or anything else, just pulled a ton of parts of my old truck before it went to the scrap yard. Would be perfect for somebody looking to do a clone. What base do you live on? I'm not far from any of the 3.

McGuire is right up the road. I sold most of the exterior stuff but do have a few pieces left, I have mostly interior stuff left at this point. I have a complete interior minus head liner, carpet and door panels. You're close by, figured I'd see if I could help with some parts for your build. Looking good, good luck :tup:

It uses different torsion keys, so that it can be adjusted lower. It is supposed to allow for adjustment between 1-3" drop.

So I cleaned it up and took it to the nostalgia races at Atco Raceway on Sunday. They wouldn't let me in enter in the show or the race because my 25 year old truck was too new!...

Got my lowering kit today. I installed the front keys and may leave it this way. It looks kind mean with a little rake to it. Here is a pic but it is kind of a optical illusion because I parked crooked over the line lol. It actually looks a little lower in the front...
