I have a slight fluttering sound coming from around the center of the firewall. Kinda like a ziptie clicking against spokes on a bike. I can only hear it while im driving.
I dont think its exhaust, I've checked all my bolts, I did have an exhaust leak a few weeks ago, but thats fixed. And not in the same area as this sound.
These are the conditions it exists.
I must be under vacume
I must be moving more than 5-10mph
Around 25-40mph it goes away when i press on the brake
Around 60mph it gets louder when I press the brake
Its loudest/fastest around -20 -10 vac. (sometimes it goes away at -20, sometimes it doesnt)
It's not always there.
Putting the truck in neutral doesnt make a difference.
Sounds like vacume leak? Where do I look?
I dont have a bike tire and an air compressor on hand. I already thought of that. Of course, that checks for pressure not vacume right? Those check valves would mess that up....
