Need a chip for a TY with 65 lb injectors & PTE 60 turbo

Hey Guys,
I'm in NY and as the title states I need a chip for a '92 TY. I'm recently having the motor rebuilt and it has 65 lb injectors & a ATR 62 turbo which PTE says is equiv. to a PTE60 turbo.

Any help would be appreciated.

What all are you doing to the motor? going with stock build? or building up?

I dont' have a bin yet for the 65 high imp injectors. But if you want I can work with you to dial them in.

Email me at TurboV6@telusplanet.net if you are interested.

Re: Need a chip for a TY with 65 lb injectors & PTE 60 turbo

The previous owner had installed the FAST. He never raced it but used use it as a daily driver. The person rebuilding the engine said switching back to the original wiring harness I would be able to use the ALDL, unlike now, and be able to trouble shoot easier which I am inclined to believe. For example, my ABS light came on and can't trouble shoot that without any codes dues to non-functioning ALDL. My funds and knowldege on TYs are limited so an easier means to pinpoint problem areas I feel would be more economical. If u feel otherwise please let me know. My intentions are as a daily driver and a few autocrosses a year.

the fast box is a much better system than the stock system could ever be(WB02,WOT fuel correctioni, use any injector you want without modding, individual cyl control, wont strain to run bigger injectors like the stock box will, good 3D timing and fueling table unlike the horrible stock arrangement). you will need a laptop either way. the aldl should work in a manner such that you can still check ABS codes. The only downside to a fast box is thaty you have no ECM TCC control.

Re: Need a chip for a TY with 65 lb injectors & PTE 60 turbo

the intended usage and state of the wiring on the vehicle does dictate that changing over to the stock set up will improve performance and durability.the turbocharger and engine combinations desired air fuel raio demands is still way in the parameters of the stock computer and an aftermarket chip.although we are mainly a turbo buick oriented firm the systems are vey similar and we have vehicles making well over 650 horsepower using the factory ecm.i have yet to see any dfi tuners including turbo people perform a close to perfevt tune on these trucks.the fast does have its place and it is not for this vehicle.with 22 years of building transmissions, engines, final drives, etc.you can be sure my calls are in your best interest.

F.a.s.t. has been proficient and used successfully on sytys for years . there are many professional tuners here that would disagree with your statements.

Keep the Fast. I tune the stock ECM everyday and you will have a easier time with the FAST system. If its not broke dont fix it.

You can still trouble shoot the ABS.
