Need some info on Turbos

Was looking over this site for Garrett turbos and I need some info. Previously I was told a GT61 or better would be ideal for my engine. Looking at the site it appears that the GT61 is luckily one of the cheapest turbos listed. Why is it so much cheaper than a turbo with smaller HP rating?

Basically, what is important to look for in a new turbo. I worked on cars for a few years, but this is the first time I've dealt with forced induction so I would like to know as much as I can before buying a turbo.

The most important thing to look for in a turbo with a SyTy is: Will it work well with my truck? What downpipe are you planning on using? Will it even fit that turbo? Will it spool well with a stock trans and converter? Etc, etc... With rarely used turbos, you get into the "test" area where you will spend time and money to figure out what injectors, chip tuning, converter, etc. will work WELL with that turbo.

I would suggest either the PTE or RPM turbo kits, as they fit well and have several turbos to fit your desired level of performance.

If you want to do something totally different and go a custom route, by all means do it, I think that rocks. Just wanted to offer my opinion from the viewpoint of looking at the entire combo and the possible hurdles you will have to face of making everything fit.

My mods are listed on the link on my sig. Not really looking for "general" info, but moreso what would specifically fit my truck (best and worst case scenarios), I am trying to plan for the upgrade financially and need to nail down what I need to purchase.

umm... on that link it looks like the only ones that are more $$ are the BB ones. BB = Ball Bearings A turbo with BB is at least a few hundred $ more than the same one without.
