Hey All,
Just got two DM files that I would like you gurus to check out. I can pm the files to you since the laptop I use for recording doesn't have internet capabilities (hey it was free). I kept the throttle to around 60-70% since my first run had a peak Spark Retard of 3.9.
My Ty has 58K on it and I know very little about the history. The previous owner wasn't a 'get your hands dirty' gearhead so I doubt some of the tuning was done correctly. Timing was set 3 degrees advanced.
Things I have done prior to the first session:
Timed to TDC
Replaced vacuum hoses from vac ball to brake diaphragm
Oil Change
After first run but before the second:
Took out the battery tray to clean up and repaint it and found that the vac ball wasn't mounted at all. It was just bouncing around. It also had a dent and a small crack that I epoxied.
Cleaned K&N air filter.
Cleaned the flexible orange intake (to turbo) elbow. It had some grease in it. I suspect it might have some small cracks.
Replaced original wastegate lines
Stuff I might need to do.
Inspect and replace spark plugs
Replace turbo oil lines
Check to see if anything is banging around knock sensors.
