New Member and Typhoon owner from NJ

I just wanted to say hi and ask a few questions.

Bought a white 93 Typhoon and it is already in great condition but I wanted to fix a few minor items

I need a new Air box. I can't seem to find one

I also know about the funny sounds typhoons make while driving but I was wondering if anyone had any tips or tricks to cut some of the noise out.

Thanks

Sportmachines I believe replied in your other thread about an airbox. I think I have 1 or 2 laying around too that I can part with. Dunno what they are worth though.

What funny sounds are you referring to?

Congrats on your new truck. I have an OEM air box in excellent shape with a like new filter in it. I can get it to your door for $40.

Noise = Pressure release valve?.. Its normal.

Sounds like you have it setup with a cold air intake... And are hearing the noise. A OEM box will muffle this noise.

Going back to stock will quiet it down.

What air system do you currently have?

The noise i refer to is the squeaks i get from the crappy NJ roads. The clink and the clanks over bumps. I saw a post about the glass in the back makes noise and the rear seats but no post on how to fix it

Do they offer a cold air intake for the typhoon?

I misunderstood you. Some owners complain about noise usually associated with the wastegate flutter. It is amplified when you put a free flowing air filter on turbo ( or remove the crossover and factory air box) I just thought you may have had a cold air setup...being that your looking for the parts.

Clinks and clanks could be a lot of things.
