New Promgrammer version

Howdy,

I know it's been a while, but I finally have a new version of Promgrammer ready for release. It's version 1.1. The new version adds:
  • -- Reads and writes files containing multiple ROMs -- you no longer need a hex editor to disassemble or assemble a bin from/for larger than stock chips (like a 27c256 or the Ultimate Chip).
    -- Remembers the last save and read directories after being shut down (there ya go, Barry :D )
I also fixed some typos.

I will be sending to all registered users shortly. If you don't get it, and think you should, please email me.

As always, if you have any questions or suggestions, or find any problems, please let me know as soon as you can.

I have shotgunned the new version out to all registered users (a few hours ago -- had to stop for dinner, so didn't have a chance to update this thread earlier). As long as you aren't set up block emails addressed to you "BCC:" (like for spam blocking), you should all have it. If you didn't get it, let me know and I'll email it directly "To:" you. Also, make sure you're not set up to block attachments.

I tried it out and it works well. Saves a ton of time as I was always slow using a hexeditor to combine bins.

How hard would it be to add a function to change one item in multiple bins instead of opening each one?

It's kinda in there already. If you use the copy and paste functions, you'll still need to switch between bins, but you won't have to open up the editing window after the first time.

To do it:
  • 1. Open (load) all the bins you'll be editing.
    2. Go to the first bin and edit the desired parameter.
    3. In the main window, select that parameter (or range of parameters) you edited, and choose "Copy" from the "Edit" menu.
    4. Switch to the next bin, and choose "Paste" from the "Edit" window. Your new parameter will be pasted into the correct place.
    5. Repeat step 4 for all desired bins.
Will that work, or were you looking for something different?

Ahh I see. I suppose I was being a bit lazy. So I could modify one thing such as a TC lockup variable and send it to all the loaded bins at once.

Ok Ok yeah I admit it I am lazy. I'd have never made it in the old days of real raw hex editing.

YEA YEA YEA....Tell you what..I'll race you for slips....First Atuocross of next season :D :D

Soon as the "rotary bucket" is going I'll get some otehr stuff done, since Jeff has made it his new lifes work to get all your POS's back togethor and running :D :D
