no more sagging headliner

Got tired of the sagging headliner, so re-lined the headliner. 30 bucks later, looks pretty good.

hey looks great, one question though, what holds it up? i know there are the clips in the front but what holds the back up?

i know my old headliner only came about 4 or 5 inches from the back of the cab and sat on a metal lip with a rubber molding but yours is full back, i like that style better looks cleaner but i haven't seen any in the wrecking yard trucks

hey thanks. there are 3 clips in the front that hold it to the body, it's also held in by the "oh shit" handle on the passenger side, and also by both b-pillars, and it's also held in by the dome light. but that is where i come to now. didn't cut the hole for the dome light, becuase when i pulled the headliner, i found the wires were all burnt, same with the dome light assembly. if anyone has a dome light in good condition, i need one. i'm very glad i decided to do this, or it could have ended badly haha

I'm pretty sure the dome lights a standard s series part. Shouldn't be that $$.

This reminds me I have to pick mine up from my buddys mom who redid mine in black. I need the clips to hold it up too. lol.

Don't mean to ask a stupid question, are these GM partnumbers?

Here are some P/Ns to go wiht this thread: Buy 3 each of both of these, as the replacement plastic clips don't fit all of the early metal clips. These two are 'compatible':
Headliner clips (plastic): (3) 15598112
Headliner clips (metal): (3) 15598117

Dome light lense: 336201
Dome light base: 14035200
Bolt, dome light mounting (2) 11509374
Spacer, dm lt mounting (2) 15603007

Terminal, dome light type. 8911418 This is the terminal that holds the bulb, and crimps to the end of the wire. I just tape up the burned spots, and re-install in a new housing. Then keep the doors closed, so it doesn't burn up again.

HTH,
Dave

Dave any insight into this today? I called the dealer and they said they're discontinued and can't get them.

Any tips on the visors? I did the headliner, but my visors are still original.
