WW(syty.net)D? this 1st post will be a feeler post to see if im gonna get flames or help.

the Ty is %75 toast. long story short its was the victim of thieft, and wrecked for the 3rd time in one very shitty year. i recovered it but she aint what she used to be and im seriously doubting that i have the funds to do a proper repair. arround 10K with body work. it kills me to just have it sitting arround undrivable, so im seriously considering parting it out.

im driving a '98 ZQ8 S-10 that im thinking may be a fun truck to have a turbo 4.3L in. i know it wont be anything close to a Syclone, otherwise id have bought a Syclone. im just thinking it might be a fun ride, and if i have %90 of the parts... why not? Hell the cladding would pay for most of the parts i still need. the T56/clutch/crossmember being the most expensive part of the conversion.

and dont tell me to do a V8. that would be more expensive for less performance and the same headaches. :tdown:

i know you want to hear, yeah go for it, but its a lot of work, to get it to all work together,

and cash in your hand would be alot more appealing, than looking out the window, and seeing a half stripped/wrecked ty in your yard.

im looking for a project, plain and simple ... i love them.
this sounds like just what im looking for, i really liked the ty on e-bay for 2500, but after further review, the truck was missing too much of the important stuff.

i just got done bringing a 4 door jimmy back from the dead, and it took alot of work, (read time and MONEY)

but after 2 months, it is a running driving nice vehicle, that the gf has taken to the store twice now, and i trust it completely!!

if you wanted to pay arround 6K for it maybe, but i know its probably not worth that. its just how much id need to sell it as is. the body is tweaked so that the firewall is out of place. it has to be re-aligned, and may never look right again. 3 body shops told me this. its $1K just to put the firewall back where there isnt a 1" gap between the back of the front fender and the front of the door. it needs the drivers rear corner cladding. the piece that wraps from the side to the rear of the ty. thats pretty much all it needs as far as body parts go. i have the rest of the cladding, a fiberglass front bumper/support and a cervinis ram air hood for it.

the title is still good. only one of the accidents were covered by insurance and it was the most minor of them all. only broke the rear drivers corner cladding and slightly dented the 1/4. the major one wasnt covered by insurance because i didnt have uninsured motorist coverage, and guess what... :roll: :evil: the 3rd also wasnt covered because i fell into a depression because of it all and my coverage lapsed. i can take them to court to make them pay for it, but court costs plus my $1000 deductable wouldnt make it worth it. i wasnt at fault for any of the accidents either. just really shitty luck.

i believe the 3rd accident (while it was stolen) only busted 2 wheels and bent the rear axle. its obvious that it slid into a cement curb sideways, and since i found it 2 blocks from where i parked it, i assume they got in it, took off like a bat out f hell, didnt realize that #1 it was pretty fast and #2 its RWD since the propshaft was being balanced at the time, and they spun it into a curb.
there is no evidence of thieft since they got ahold of the keys, and used them. (keep your keys on you at parties kids!) but this accident is so iffy to me. i really dont know the extent of what got damaged, i just know it isnt driveable.

i dont have pics because its up at my parents place in WY for storage. im gonna be going up there probably this week to get soem stuff from them, and i can get pics then if your really interested.

eh dosent matter anyway. my dad convinced me not to sell or part it. im just gonna save for an LS2 for the S-10. mods can lock this if they like.

the TT hood is for sale though, but i aint freighting that bish. done it before, not doin it again.
