bout time :grin: congrats, whats wrong with the body? post pics. looks like more GT owners are starting to pop up, but then again that only makes 3 that I know of, you, redogg, and myself.

I will post link to pics soon. Needs front bumper support, Left front fender replaced, left rear fender repaired, needs right rear corner clading.

Did the Sonoma GT come with the same cladding as a Syclone? Are they turbo? are they AWD? Cuz I've seen 2 around me and neither had side skirts, just the bumper cover. And they looked like 2WD Wazzup wit dat?

You can get all the specs on the GT from http://www.syty.org/old/brochure.html

Some interesting facts:

Syclone like interior (no turbo gauge!)
Syclone like cladding (missing wheel arches and the door panel part is paint and not real cladding)
2wd Sits at regular Sonoma height
200 hp 4.3L CPI V6 Vortec normally aspirated
only 806 produced

And Reddogg is trying to sell or trade his to get a Syclone!

Actually, I wouldn't mind keeping my GT for a year or two, fix it up nice, then do the same thing.... or keep it and add a Syclone or Typhoon!

:oops: Have had the SoGT for 8 days and get whacked in the rear by a clown who jumped the gun at a stop light before I went. Pushed in the rear bumper but didn't tear the cladding piece, so I probably don't need to actually replace anything, just get it straightened.

8 %$&% days!!!!

Hay Guy's don't forget me - i have #0334. BTW - i'm building a v6 non turbo just for fun - should be faster then most syclone's or typhoons.

It would be cheaper to buy a Sy than to buy a complete working ZR1 engine.

8) Since I have to paint or replace several cladding pieces (see above posts) on the GT I'm thinking of going all white, including removing the logos.

Whatcha think?

:eek: Oh yeah, I am going to need the right rear corner cladding for the GT (part the exhaust sticks out of). GM sure doesn't make it anymore.

This part will not be easy to find, it is specific to the GT and is not a Sy or Ty part. If anyone has any ideas or leads, please let me know.
