Oil feed tube

I just picked up a ty and was checking the underside of it when I noticed a hose that was plugged by a bolt :rant: . It goes to the block on the passenger side above the oil pan. I was wondering if this is the original oil feed line for the turbo? If it is can I plug it (turbo is being fed by a braided line from the other side of the block) and what size plug can I use? It has started to leak and I pay too much for the oil I put in it.

that should be the water (coolant) line for the turbo, not oil.

Sounds like you have an aftermarket turbo which sometimes does not get coolant. So there should be no line from front of intake and also no line into bottom of block! Lower hole is 1/8 npt so best bet is to plug it but the antifreeze will be running out since it is the lowest point of coolant.

If you leave brass fitting in lower hole not sure what size that fitting would be.

I guess it could use new antifreeze anyway, since it didnt come with a overflow tank. Thanks for the help.

As mentioned if it's on the block where a water drain would normally be it's the old turbo water line. Presumably just below that on the side of the pan itself you see the turbo oil drain.

I believe the water fitting into the block is 1/4 pipe not 1/8.
