P&P L35 heads

EcSy#2671

Si vis pacem, para bellum
Price: $900

This pair of ported L35 heads have had the stock intake bowls extensively reworked compared to the OEM Syclone heads. The factory valve seats and port divider have been reshaped to improve flow and promote smooth transition from the bowl into the chambers, and to reduce high rpm induced fuel separation and detonation. The exhaust ports have also been reshaped and polished to promote flow and reduce carbon build up on the port walls.

The factory L35 head suffers from a poor casting and machining process in the combustion chamber that results in hotspots that increase the likelihood of detonation. The three angle valve job and larger 2.02/1.6 valves used in these heads largely eliminate this problem in the factory design. The combustion chambers have also been smoothed and lightly polished in some areas to reduce carbon buildup. The intake and exhaust valves are made from NK-844 and XH-428 material. The same found in the Manley Extreme Duty Valves and are some of the highest quality stainless valves available. Features include chrome stems, hard tips, and swirl polished undercut heads.

The oil drain holes have also been radiused to reduce oil buildup in the valve covers and improve oil flow back to the oil pan.

The valve train consists of factory seals, valve springs, retainers and keepers. Upgraded beehive valve springs and matching retainers are available for and addition price.

Flowbench results are available for an additional 40$
