part number for TPS

Does anyone have the part number for the Throttle Position Sensor and a good source to buy one (other than my local dealer)?

Manufacturer and part number...

Wells = TPS132
Echlin = 219071
Delphi = SS10461

Autozone carries Wells.
all NAPA's carry Echlin.
Delphi is a crap shoot.....

interchange any of these numbers at your local parts store; it's not a "specialty" part by any means.

probably used on many other GM vehicles, but I'm sure if you walked into a parts store and said "tell me all other vehicles that use a TPS132 throttle position sensor", you'd get punched in the head.

Just order one of the above online......

Just to let everyone know, this thread is completely wrong. I went and bought all of the TPS sensors in town and they are all wrong, either do not fit correctly (wrong orientation) and the ones do that fit have the wrong polarity on the WOT (ie 4.5 volt idle, .90v wot)

The ONLY place I cound find the correct one is napa using the GM part number 17112368 as a cross reference.

Correction:

That is the correct sensor, but 2 of my local autozones had them in the wrong box or maybe it is the wrong part. The photo here is the correct sensor, but this sensor was not in the boxes labeled TPS132

Our throttle body came from a corvette? so I guess this parts are matching, what about other TPI cars, like f-body? With throttle wide open I can read off 91.5% open only, but according to a trusted tuner this was nothing to worry about so I will not replace this for now. I would like to replace the IAC so I'm pretty much in same situation as you with TPS issue. Anny advice?

Our TPS isn't exactly getting any cheaper. RockAuto has one of the better prices ($43), but by the time you ship it, you'll be close to $50. So, just grab it locally and be done with it......or find a used one if you need to stretch a dollar.
