PAS - is there some hope?

Hi Guys and Girls!

I am not drunk and I am not full of sh*t!!! This is NOT a story or a fairy tale, seriously!!

I had today one of my senior SE’s in and somehow we started talking cars. He heard from others that I have an almost stock 68 El Camino SS 396, which is in most cases, my daily driver – continue talking he mentioned that he had a Syclone and his wife a Typhoon back in 91/92, where he was working for a horse fanatic, preparing horses for shows, selling them and all the other crap (money does not stink and there are BIG BUCKS in horses).
So I had to ask him why and how he had a Sy and a Ty since these are not really suitable cars for dealing with horses. No it comes, the horse fanatic is, sure his ex-boss, but the same person, Mike if I remember right, OWNED PAS and built the Syclones and Typhoons, as we all know. End of 94, after this GM outsourced project was done, PAS was sold and went out of business.
I asked if he still has contact and he replied “more or less from time to time”. My first an only questions was “Contact him and ask him what or where production parts like moldings etc. are left or who were the subcontractors are and if they may have something”
Once again that’s not a joke or story to get attention and I will keep you informed.

The story is true some of the proto sys were titled in the name of the horse farm and they were even used for farm duty (hauling hay,poop) I think it was chuck Mountains farm but Im not positive on the name Ken

actually, this story is probally true. Mike Poccabello was the V/P of PAS and had horses.

Most of the trucks he had were registered to his horse (does the horse pay taxes too?)

With regards to the molds, dont worry about them. I met the brother in law of Chuck Mountain (pres of pas) --to which his sister works for the company that produced and IS STILL PRODUCING the cladding.

The reason why its in so short supply is this company only produces in large quantities. Like 1000 or so ---not exactly sure, but it isnt a low number. This is probally the reason why front bumper covers are very easy to obtain, but rocker cladding is not. From what I have been told, when GM sees a demand for the cladding, it gets produced.

This same guy had at one time 15 typhoons in his driveway, including ALL of the four 91 typhoon. I've seen pictures...he isnt loading me the beef.

This years nationals should be interesting --if you know what I mean.

Actually, since I just bought a truck off him, Mike, I asked him if he had any literature/info left, he said he had gotten rid of that a long time ago.

He doesn't have any extra parts, but next time I talk to him, I'll ask him if he knows where all the surplus was sold to.

The name of the farm was Minion Morgans. And yes, some of mike's trucks were indeed titled by that company.

Marty, Jason Leach, and Merk I believe got a bunch of the stuff he had.

He at one time also owned a 92 prototype, but that was wrecked.....

I don't recall there being any GM or prototype vehicles there.
