just posting pics of truck with a few of the mods visible. it looks like crap, its in pretty rough shape. although it runs pretty good, other than a fuel pump issue, they sold me the wrong one. plan on replacing it with a walbro soon as possible. also not sure if its the wiring or the senders, but my oil pressure gauge or temp gauge doesnt work. not worried about the temp so much as the oil pressure, b/c electric fan is wired to run constantly. i will post a thread in the tech section about this, b/c i need to know the easiest way to get to the oil sender.

plans are to get all performance mods done first, then i will start on the interior and exterior. next on the imediate agenda is to cut exhaust off at(single in/ dual out flowmaster)muffler and put turndowns directly on muffler. then headers, head/intake port and polish, cam, and, n2o. i really cant do a whole lot else without taking the top end off the engine, and that will be a little while.

this is what happens when a redneck gets a cool idea. :tdown:

heres the bed cover i installed not too long after getting the truck. got a deal off of summits clearance page it doesnt look quite as nice as the nice chrome bedrails that were on it. :tup:

a few pics of ignition upgrades. msd coil, msd cap and rotor, taylor 8.5mm wires, mallory hyfire 6a ignition.

here are some random pics of the whole truck with firebird GTA wheels. i will get them powder coated black eventually.

i know its a diamond in the rough, now just to convince the wife of that. :rotf:

yeah really, tell me about it. i can deal with the front end being knocked off, b/c accidents happen, but with the rear cladding being cut i want to find the idiot that done it and cut his balls off. especially after i found out what it costs to replace, so it will probly recieve a fiberglass repair job, but if it looks like crap i will probly break down and buy one.

its gta wheels. just wish they were black instead of gold :barf: thought about painting them, but that will just be more bs when i strip them to get them powder coated. they should look good with black centers and polished lips. luckily i have a hook up on both. friend will polish them for me and his old boss, in which hes still good friends with, will probly do the powder coating for around $50. the problem is its 150 miles up the road in my hometown, but i plan on moving back there within the next 6 months or so.

Yeah you're right, the new paint scheme should look a little better. I just dont like the extreme depth of the lip on the rims. To each his own though, i was told my chrome stockers on the Ty are discusting, but i almost hit the guy

i wouldnt go so far as saying discusting, but ive never been crazy about the stock syty wheels. they look fine on the syty's, but if i had a choice between the stock syty wheels and vette wheels, i would take the vette wheels. the stock syty wheels are also one of the things that make them a dead give away. i remember when i was younger if you saw what you think is a sonoma and it has those wheels, you knew to leave it alone and find another car to pick on.

haha thats true. I just like my stockers cause they're in excellent condition. Its really a nostalgia thing. Like having a 69 GTO with the stock rims or hubcaps vs. aftermarket.

does the gto have the rallye wheels? if so i wouldnt change them either. on muscle cars the only wheels that look good on them are rallye wheels, american racing torq thrusts, or cragar s/s, imo.
