we've been slacking. I've been travelling way too much and sorta forgot. something will be arranged.
the 1st main problem is that the pittsburgh track doesn't want to rent to us again since they make no $ off of it. We'd need like 3 or 4 times as many vehicles to make it happen...so it'd have to be a joint track time. We are looking into a different track, which is about 2.5hrs east of pittsburgh...so closer to the naste folks, but further from the IN/MI people that try to come.
As soon as nats is over, i'll press forward w/ the northeast meet.

I am game for it... but don't know if it is going to happen. Think the track is wanting good good money now and during the week race times.
Someone needs to talk to Frank Tedesco at Pittsburgh Raceway. Hotel will have us back no problem.

These are the two local track.... Quaker is about 2 hours from the Hotel into Ohio. So PRP would be the better of the two.
I know 3 sytys that would show, with or without trucks. Heard there is a new wht/wht ty in wexford/ross park area. We had more people travel here than lived here last year.

a 2 hour drive to a track is absurd. I'd rather have the meet in state college, the closest track is only 60 miles from me = 1 hr (VERY fun drive too). There is another track in bloomsburg area that we'd spoken of....have you checked up on that?
I will hold a state college meet at some point, but i don't know if we want to try to make the extraveganza into a state college event? Would depend on other's opinions really. One thing that i do have access here, although i'd need to verify if we were showing up as a group, is a scale. I think it'd be somewhat differen/fun to have everyone's truck weighed. Also, the nightlife here in state college is a tad different than the town we had the last 2 extravaganzas in :lol: Although, i don't think we'd get away w/ drunken donuts in the parking lot quite as easily.
If people are interested, i can arrange plenty to do in state college....hell we could even have it late august/early september and have it the weekend of a psu football game, and take all of our trucks and go tailgating with them at the game. The only issue with football weekends is lack of hotel rooms. Unless a ton of people wanna sleeping bag it. :lol: I've slept 28 at my house before, and have a friend w/ a much larger place than mine who would give up some space also.

you KNOW i'm in for a state college meet.
I'll go anywhere for a big meet, as long as its within reason. Maybe I'll look into having an actual Northeast meet, in the Northeast.. I dunno if the PA guys would be willing to travel though..

count me in for both you know me i go even without a ty. if a northeast does not work out my house is open, and maybe renting atco, or etown both under 1 hr. any one is welcome here as well, huge lot out back for as many ty/sy as needed.

Have an idea for a Pittsburgh mini-meet.... We have flashlight 1/8th mile drag racing at a local airport. You get no times though( Next one is in August.
