You know, I've been here for almost three years and never been to the eastern province. I'd love to see Dammam and Dhahran! I've been to Abha once, and that was a great town, beautifully planned and really cool in July. Riyadh... I could take it for about a day, but couldn't wait to fly back to Jeddah
I'm waiting for the Ty to come out of the shop (it's been in there for about four months now) and then I'm gonna take my third road trip to Jordan in it. The west coast highway is one of my favorites, very scenic and mostly along the coast line. Hundreds of places to stop and watch the sunset. The towns of Umluj and Al-Wejh are particularly beautiful, sleepy coastal towns. My first trip was in my old 87 Benz 300E and my second was in my Mazda 6 (which I bought the said tires for.) I wonder of the Ty will be reliable enough for a 3,000-mile round trip!
