I took the valve body off the clean it out now I can't figure out how to attach the arm from the gear selector to the plunger in the valve body. How does this goes back together. It looks like its in there but it doesnt work

That plunger should be further into the VB. You have to make sure the link is going through the hole properky. I ll take some pics of mine for later if somone doesnt beat me to it.
Rotate the manual valve so the twisted wire goes into it deeper. The 90 degree hook goes in the manual valve. Since your upside down, hang the other end from the "rooster comb" and open your hand up like your holding a pizza to hold the valvebody and push the wire deep into the valve while at the same time bring the valvebody into place. Use vasoline to hold the checkballs in place so they don't move and have a bolt with the washer on it ready to hand thread into place to hold the valvebody up there once you get it in place.
Right on, I got it. Kinda of a pain in the ass. Anyway I took it to a tranny shop I used to tow for and they cleaned it out and took a look at it, looks good they said. I'll drive it tomorrow and see how it feels. Oh there was a check ball missing right above the accumulator, would that cause some probs?
