I bought a Hypertech one years ago and checked its accuracy and it was spot on.
Every bourdon tube type pressure gauge is different though and has an internal mechanical linkage and should in theory be confirmed to be reading correctly by using a known standard. That said gauges from known reputable manufacturers such as Autometer are usually calibrated correctly when new. Just make sure that if its a mechanical gauge, its reading zero before you start. If not, then theres a good chance somethings amiss.

I had borrowed one from a friend. It was junk. Actron ? Was just a real piece of junk.

JEGS - sells the hypertech gauge. Its a nice component if you ask me. I spent around 45 if I'm correct. It screws on to the Schrader and has a hose. Sold under fuel injection components. Buick gn/syclone/typhoon.

Edit* looks like its around $60-65 now.

Is this your bush?
Re: Reliable fuel pressure gauge

DON'T put the gauge right into the Schrader valve. Make sure you get the hose to relocate it so the vibration doesn't make your fuel rail leak or fail. Don't want a car bque.
