Ive used fiberglass on weak or broken tabs.
I carefully sand each side of the tab, then take fiberglass rope and cut it to the tab length. 1 for each side. I then take some fiberglass cloth (4 or 6oz) and pre-cut it so it lays up about 1" along the base of the tab and then at least half way up it....again, 1 for each side.
Mix the resin, wet out the rope, lay it into the base of each side of the tab where it meets the back of the cladding. Work out any air bubbles, then lay the fiberglass cloth on top and again, work out bubbles.
Of course, wear latex gloves. You can buy cheap $1 brushes at Home Depot to use for laying down the resin and stippeling the cloth to soak out.
Tape off anything you dont want resin on if you are not used to working with it.
