Saudi Typhoon Gauge Symbol?

on a Saudi Ty, in the instrument panel, bottom right, there is a symbol.

It looks like a thermometer in some water and I am sure that it is a temperature gauge.

The question is which type? - water or oil?

sorry about this but I am worried as it does not appear to be working. Whatever it is measuring never gets above 40C. (It was 38C here the other day so I cannot believe it is correct)

It ranges from 40C to about 125C so I am thinking water?

It does not seem to be indicating and am worried that something might be amiss....

It should be the engine coolant gauge. From what I remember, the Saudi trucks have the same gauges as the normal S-trucks, only metric.:2cents:

Driver side head, above the exhaust manifold.

Not many S-10's had 124mph speedos though. Metric gauge clusters were made that went to 140, 180 and 200kph.

It the only sensor on that heds, it between 3 & 5 cylinders. I would look at it first. Sometimes the wire become burnt, the sensor is broken off or someone forget to reconnect that wiring harness.

That is the coolant temp gauge. Check the thermostat. It may be stuck in the open position. That was the case on my truck. A new themostat solved it.

Thanks for the tip. Now to find the thermostat.

I have ordered a new sensor as well, and am looking at getting a new thermostat. What are the commonly used ones?

Stock is 195 right?

get a 160 degree thermostat.
