Hello, I am selling my ultra-rare Syclone vs Porsche Carerra compare poster. This was a one-day only full page poster that appeared in USA Today back in 1991 (BTW, this issue is NOT available from USA Today). It was pulled from the ad campaign when Porcshe threatened law suit. Includes prof. mounted frame (glass). I no longer have my Syclone and I am selling to raise funds for a friend in financial hardship - so bid high and help a good cause. available at ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1859924138&rd=1

I always wanted to get one of these "posters" but I could put $100 to better use somewhere else. Since USA Today wont print anyomre for us, do you think it would be possible to have a reproduction done, maybe on glossy poster paper? For those of you who work with printers for t-shirts and such, is this type of reproduction possible?

Geez if you could make some reproductions, I'd put up 20bux or so for one of them, but not $150.

Just think, if you could sell 10 repo's,, or more.... :D

Re: Selling my super-rare Syclone Poster

Hey Lyle,
You need to come on out and bring your Buick to the Mooresville track meet the Saturday after Thanksgiving(Nov 30, see under southern gatherings) Bring the poster if you don't sell it. May be some interested buyers there. Come on out, it's a real nice gathering!

reprints?

reprints?

Merk,

Saw you actually won this, did you give any thought to doing reprints? I would love to have one, and you seem to be the defacto expert in reprinting things that no longer exist!

Possible?

why dont you scan it in a ridiculously high quality, say 900dpi ish.. zip it up and give us a link to it :D

can't really scan something like that...it came out of a nwespaper, so most likely the print quality is not so great, and would never scan well. Also, 900dpi is useless...the eye cannot differentiate anything over 300 dpi, so 900 would merely waste space. Plus, do you know how hard it is to have something that big scanned? It's not easy, unless you have acces to a wide format machine.

i say let brian be proud of what he has, and let him be the one we all envy. good job merk -

ok maybe not 900 but 300ish would be nice, then when your looking at it full screen its nice and clear, then you can zoom in and read small print... there should be a preset to can newspaper that takes out the morray or whatever its called...
