stalling

After my cars run for about 40 minutes on the road it shuts off and want start. after setting for about an hour it will start . I get a code 15 . I did change the sending unit. could the coupter be going out. the car has 178,000 miles on it ,the motor was done about 15,000 miles ago ran great now haveing this problem. any suggestion?

I assume you mean the temp sender? On a Sy at least code 15 is low coolant temp. Are you seeing low temps on the gauge? I doubt this would cause a shutdown. I'd be more suspicious of fuel. Get a fuel pressure gauge on it and see if you have FP when it quits. If so then it's the FP itself or the oil pressure sw that keeps the FP running while the engine is running.

Other thoughts anyone?
