Just wondering why you want to turn off EGR?
EGR will give you better fuel mileage and lower combustion chamber temperatures at cruise speed resulting in less chance of spark knock/detonation at part throttle.
EGR is off under boost, so it isn't really going to do anything to increase performance.
The only valid reason to turn off EGR in the chip is if you have vortec head conversion, which has no provision for the exhaust crossover in the intake. Therefore EGR wouldnt work with vortecs so you need to turn it off in the chip to run properly.
