stock boost gauge readings with 3 bar chips

I'm still searching for the solution of a WOT performance loss and this morning I found something weird. At WOT I can read 16-17 psi boost on the mechanical aftermarket gauge and in Datamaster too. But today - after a long time - I took a look at the stock boost gauge at WOT and it was showing something around 7 psi. I'm running an Ultimate 50 v3 and have an external gate, so ECM does not do any boost controll.

Is this normal? I know that the stock boost gauge gets its electronic signal from the ECM, so somehow the ECM only sees 7 psi? That's weird because approximately that's the power I'm missing right now...

The 3 bar has a different voltage response versus boost pressure, so the stock gauge, calibrated (ha) for a 2 bar sensor doesn't read accurately.
