Bump. Anyone else have any leads/info?
The only reason I ask is I called BellTech about their #5954 lowering leaf springs (the ones recommended on Jas' web site). They say their springs are 20% lower rate than the stockers. After pressing them for an actual number, I was finally told their springs are 130 lb/in rate. If you believe their "20% lower" statement, that would put the stockers at 162 lb/in.
Of course, they could be talking about non-Ty stock springs. After all, they recommend the same spring for all S-10 pickups and blazers/jimmies from '91-'93 (the SyTy years).
I want to put lowering springs on my Ty, but don't want to drop too much from the stock rate -- going from 225 to 130 is a 42% drop. Maybe I'll just have the stockers de-arched....
Anyone know of any steel lowering springs with a 200-220 lb/in rate?
