stock spindles with vette wheels? (front)

What are you guys doing about the center caps and the stock spindles on the front with the aftermarket vette wheels? The spindles are too long for the center caps to go on. 54mm 17x9.5 z06s.

i used a sawsall to cut 3/4" off the axle shaft.

Most common thing is to do this...

or this...

sometimes this...

take enough off until you can get the cap on without it hitting the spindle. go slow so you dont gall up any of the threads

I think those are probably the most common used tools for a sy/ty :rotf:

just curious.... what would you recomend doing if you didnt want to upgrade the brakes but you wanted to make em better looking? just wondering because i have to do something this summer for sure.

ive thought about painting the calipers..but im not sure other than that. id be skeptical to spray any kind of acid/rust remover near the rotors.

I chopped mine off as well to fit my C5 wheels.
