very shallow though alot of the dealers try to use a spacer to fit bigger magnets (looks like poo) get the pate and do a cheap set of components back there

The will probably not fit. To find a speaker that fits it has to be advertised as a slim design. 3.5 seems too big.

Thanks for all the help! One last question how deep of a speaker can i fit WITH the stock grille. i dont want to hack the truck up and not having the stock grille makes it look like a hack job IMO

U can get a speaker kit that allows a bigger speaker/ deep space , I thought our factory speakers were 5 x 7 ? kit allows 6 x 9 .

I ended up having the same problem replacing the speakers. I ended up buying a set of Boston Acoustics that fit perfectly. I still have the box to get the model number off of, but it is in my warehouse that is 40 minutes away. I can get down that way on Wednesday to get the numbers for you.
