Superchips...?

I searched, I swear I did!

What can anyone tell me about a Superchips chip for my Ty? The PO gave (errr...sold) me one along with the original. He's a bit of a BSer so I don't know what to believe exactly and I couldn't find anything about them, except that they existed.

Honestly? So much has advanced in tuning nowadays that most of the old KB, ATR, and Superchips stuff is pure crap.

I know, I know. I just wanted to know what I've got. He said it had a KB (kaboom?) chip in it, then 3yrs later he comes up with these other two! Which was awesome, because I'm a 'stock parts' guy at heart. So I really wanted the stock chip which I now have. Not that I'm going to use it, but I have it. Same with the KB intake. That's great, but I still had to buy a stock one. Still looking for a cheap set of manifolds... I'm going to either get an Ostrich or put it on an 0411. I'm putting my '97 Z71 on an 0411 so it might be easier to learn just one system instead of two.

Go for the Ostrich 2.0 and code $59 There's immeasurably more help for that than any other system out there.

Are you in denver? It looks like a klodes auction sticker on your truck. I have a ton of syty parts and may be local. Let me know... I also have a spare ostrich and what you need to get started tuning...

I don't live in Denver but I'm around there pretty regular. We should get together and see what comes up. It's sad, but that little vid clip in you sig makes me laugh everytime I see it!

Superchips wasn't really anything special for these trucks back when they were out and are well behind the curve now

If you don't want to modify cells and play around with tunes you could go with a chip from turbotweak. I have one and many others do and have nothing but good things to say about it and the owner Eric. They do allow you to adjust various aspect of your tune as well if desired.
