I have been out driving for the last couple of weeks but is it just me or do people not know what these trucks are anymore??? Anyone else get the same treatment in your areas? 0X :-?

I've encountered many people who have 'heard' or 'seen' syclone's or typhoons before...
Mine still gets many looks.

I never get anybody rolling up next to me wanting to run while in the sy, I guess no one knows what they are. I do every once in awhile get some older guy that knows whats up and gives props but other then that... noda zip. I do see anything worth the time and fuel , I have to start it

I personally love our stealthy reputation it is kinda nice to bet money that your suv/truck will blow the doors off of a camaro, mustang, corvette, etc etc.

Actually had this guy make his way through traffic to catch me at a light the other day, rolled down his window and was impressed by the truck. Actually got it right....."that's the one with the single turbo and intercooler right?" Can't count how many times I have said "yeah I own the Syclone outside" and get the classic response "man those twin turbos are quick" Stupid people annoy me........ :x

I get the same response as Ed at the track - always seems to attract a crowd. When I do drive it on the street people are always looking. A couple months back I got caught at a redlight in a very busy, 5 point intersection. Two carloads of younger kids (teenagers/early 20's) were off to my right and went apeshit gawking at the truck. 
One was driving rice and the other a full-size Chevy P/U that sounded decent. Talked to them 'til the light went green, then I let 'em smell the C16...

I didn't know what a Ty/Sy was until about 6 years ago. We were in my friends TPI S10 and a Ty pulled up next to us at a light. The guy was cool, and my friend met him b4 and told me to watch that thing launch. He knew some stuff about the Ty/Sy trucks. Light turned green and I watched that thing launch and I was like . I use to see Typhoons running around here when I didn't know about them. Ever since that night I have not seen 1 tyhoon, but I have been see'n 1 Syclone cruisin around. It's in very good condition, and there was 1 for sale recently w/30k miles for $12k. Wish I had the $$. I think it's great that a lot of people don't know about them. They got the "sleeper" look down, that's for sure.

My '95 R is #58 of 250 built. Factory Built Road Racer - basically stripped of options. Factory 351 Windsor, Factory Tremec 3550 trans, Factory Koni's and Eibach springs, Factory Fuel Safe Fuel Cell. No A/C, No Stereo, No back seat. Real fun car to drive - Ford shoulda made ALL Cobra's with the 351 instead of the 4 cammer IMO - simple, efficient, and TONZ of Torque!
yeah, people these days. i had a guy ask me why did i have a big typhoon sticker across my windshield and on my cladding. so i told him what my truck was, he then proceed to tell me that i didnt know what i was talking about. he said i put a set of ground affects and some stickers on an S-10 blazer. i laughed. the ignorance of people these days amazes me.

My problem is that when somebody does recognize my Ty, they are too afraid to race. Then, the idiots that do know what it is are always driving some 18 second heap.
Very difficult to find a good race around here.

My boss just saw my Typhoon in the parking lot today and asked me if I was driving the "spic'd-out truck" in the lot. :fist: He thinks I put the body kit on it and lowered it myself and thought it should have hydraulics on it.
I'm gonna smack the dog shit out of him the next time I see him and then take him for a ride in it so he'll shut up. I don't get that with my GN at all!!!
