Is any body running the pte te44 setup with the stock torque converter? If so how is it? I'm wandering about building boost and performance compared to stock..

might want to consider reading up and getting to know you're vehicle first before you go and start slapping parts on you truck for no reason... relatively
stock turbo'd trucks have gotten down to 12.5 range... Do you have datamaster or a laptop? purchased an Aux IC or tranny cooler? 160 degree thermo?? If you haven't start simple, tune your truck, then work your way up..Pass up the ebay auction ;) ATR's boost control isn't the best...

To answer your question...

A te44 is recommended for stock torque converter, and anything bigger would require a 2800 or 3000 stall.
thanks

I looked into this question for a while. I decided to stay stock and tune as much as I could. Now I am happy I never got the 44 because I want something bigger. Take some time and really decide how fast you want to go.
