Tires for staggered rims

I have a set of rims that are 18x10.5 rear 17x9.5 front. As we all know I need the same overall diameter on the tires. My problem is I'm having a hard time
Finding some that match up. I found a set of general tires that work, however I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

Hello....He made you feel real welcome. Use 245/40/18-Rear & 245/45/17-Front. They are the same height so not to hurt anything (T-Case) and they are the same height as the factory size of 245/50/16 so not to mess us your speedo.

Good Luck!

A 245mm tire isn't going to mount very well on a 10.5" wheel. (The wheel is too wide.) I've got 255mm tires on a 9.5" wheel, and that was the widest wheel Tire Rack recommended putting them on.

I agree....if you jump to a 255 on both and keep everything else the same it will work upto a 10 inch rim. Measure your rim on the inside of the beed to make sure they are not 10 & 9...just incase.

I think 285/35/18 and 255/45/17 is the same also. Would fit much better on a 10.5 rear and 9.5 front wheel.

Re: Tires for staggered rims

If I had your setup...I'd probalby run the 315/30-18 (817 revs per mile) and the 275/40-17 (814 revs per mile). Not sure these sizes are available in the cheaper tires...but they are in the Michelin PS2's. Would look a lot better on the rims mentioned. Just my opinion.

The reason I said search is because there have been very detailed threads about this very topic with links to calculators and explanation as to why it is important to get it right. If this was an introductory post than I would have said welcome and then told him to search.

This is the exact setup I have on my Z06 rims (exact same sizes as the OP's wheels). They fit the rims great with an almost vertical sidewall. The tires I have currently (but need replacing) are Nitto 555s, the only problem I have with them is they are directional and since the wheels are different sizes front to back, you cant rotate the tires without demounting (sp?) and remounting the tires.

Can you post a pic or pm me one of how your's looks with that setup. I have 4 Alcoa front Z06 wheels, and 2 rears. I was going to do the 17s all the way around with drag radials, but have considered buying another 2 fronts and have some with street tires on them.

Unfortunately these are the only pics I have readily available right now and I'm currently running my stock rims since I need new tires for the Z06s before I can put them back on so I cant even take new pics for ya.

I really want to get a pair of 18" for the front but I havent found anywhere to get the same wheels in 18" without going to the 10.5" width.
