yeah, the BG/TEC/Seafoam stuff is pretty straightforward... Used it a lot...I prefer the aerosol BG :tup:

The BG injector rail cleaner is a different story...I remember the can having instructions that said to use a special tool to use the stuff...didnt know if it was pured in the tank or what? :dunno:

the injector cleaner does need a special tool. you actually disable the fuel pump and hook into the fuel rail schrader valve and the vehice runs off the stuff.

I put a bottle of that top end cleaner in my ty, and now it is hesitating really bad at WOT when the boost comes up? Do you think this is a spark plug issue? I"m certain I do not have good plugs, as far as colder plugs go. I just bought it, and it was completely stock, down to the airfilter. It did not hesitate before I put the Top End Cleaner in, so I am hoping that it is just the plugs or is it the cleaner itself? Thanks

you have to change the plugs right after you use the top engine cleaner in it fouls the plugs . So if I were you I would change the plugs ASAP and then go from there

That is the thing, the truck runs fine, except at boost levels around 12psi +, then and only then does it hesitate. Making me think either the plugs are burnt, or my distributor ain't workin right. I have a new one ready to drop in, because the current dis. is rusted really bad, but until today, it ran perfect. I've replaced the cap, rotor and wires with brass and 8.5 msd's. Have not changed plugs though. Was wondering if that cleaner does not like boost?

OK, call me stupid, and maybe I am, but please help. I was told to put the top end cleaner in my gs tank. It came in a little bottle. So I"ve done that. Did I mess up? Should I just drive out the gas to empty, change plugs and oil, or should I drain the tank? Thanks.

What kind did you use?

If its the GM top engine cleaner, you shouldnt have done that . Do what you gotta do to get that tank empty and then replace your plugs, oil, and filters...only serious thing that may not have like that you're injectors but I'm sure that a few tanks of 91 should clean them out.

You need to suck the GM cleaner out of the can via a vacuum source, like the brake booster line. Do a search on Top engine cleaner to find out more :tup: .

Thanks, I've been driving it trying to empty the tank. PLan on taking it out here in a bit, and driving it a long way, to drive and get the tank empty. I'll change out the plugs tomorrow, and change the oil MOnday. I have AC Delco cr42ts plugs. I think those are the right ones.

Ok, apparently they guy that had the truck before me had put in those platnum plugs, and of course they were shot. I put in the CR42TS AC Delco's, and she runs liked a raped ape! WOO HOOOOO!

I just got done using the one from the dealer, it worked great just ate all the junk off the T/B and Upper. They look brand new inside!!!

I couldn't find it at Wynns web site , but they had it on the shelf at the local carpartshop.
It's called "combustion chamber cleaner".

At the local GM dealer they just looked like fools when I asked for top end cleaner.
