This is limited by the chip. If you have an aftermarket chip, this is usually disabled, and it'll go faster.hatrik8 said:Is the top speed for a syclone really 126?
You're going faster than the speedo registers.hatrik8 said:What happens when the speedo is pegged, but you are still accelerating? What's the deal?
Yup on my way home from picking mine up in indiana, I raced a 1g dsm on the freeway in des moines and hit boost cut, I was dead even with him. At the light on the off ramp he told me he let off @ 135, and the usual "wow that S-10 is fast!"dgoodhue said:Our factory stock chip doesn't cut fuel, it limits boost to the base boost of 8-9 psi. If I had to guess a Stock Syclone will do low 130's with boost cut, but it will take a while past 126...

I've buried my Ty past 120, not too far past, but even at that speed, I felt like I was driving a shopping cart; it was starting to drift pretty well. I can imagine how squirrely it is at 155-170!100in6 said:i had mine at over 5k in forth gear a couple of times. probably 155 to 170 mph. i didn't have a stock chip, or a stock anything else for that matter![]()
100in6 said:actually... it wasn't that bad i was TOLD. the hood buffeted a lot but it squatted and screamed. remember what my truck was though. it was not anywhere close to stock engine or suspension. the thing ran almost 140 in the quarter. read on the web about the autobahb syclone. probably the same as mine.
oh... and remember... i wasn't driving it. my friend was. no 165 mph plus for this ol boy...
