Torque specs for rocker arm nuts...??

Hey guys,
My vortec heads are finally ready to bolt on and i need to put the rocker arms on. I am using the comp magnum self aligning roller rockers.
What is the specified torque on the nut that holds them down??
I have read about putting them on and running the motor with no valve covers and tighten them until they stop making a clattering noise......but there has to be an easier way!

I assume you are using the stock style adjustable studs. if so you dont have a set torque you will need to use TDC method and use 1 turno down from zero lash.

John, I found this old thread about specified torque for roller rockers. I take 1.6 crane gold roller rockers and dont know what is the specified torque or how adjust it.

FYI: Your trannies are working still!!!!

there is not a torque spec. you have to adjust them as per the manual.

the nonadjustable rockers on some of the vortec's get about 30ftlbs. but those are not stock and are not the most common vortecs.

I take stock heads + rollers. So to I have to adjust them as per manual like stock rocker arms?
