Hey guys,
After seeing these beautiful trucks with the Trans-am scoops on 'em, makes me wanna do it to mine. So I guess I need to ask What year TA do they come from, What's involved to install them, and How much $$$ am I looking at (D.I.M. or body-shop)? But first, I must tackle the new guitar purchase first! A musician that's hot for tone, is GONNA move on a great deal when he sees one. After all, that's how I got my Ty! Thanks again, Josh.

i assume youre talking about the fiberglass hoods with them already molded in. i believe the hood is under $500. expect to pay right under that to paint and prep it at a body shop.

you are free to check out my gallery and see what I did, however Im not going to write up a big "how to" on it and I cant even give an idea of hours involved, as this was my prototype, so there was a good amount of time devoted to trial and error.

I dont know how much a bodyshop would charge to do it, I know most body shops wont even touch projects like this, or so Ive been told by others who want me to make more.

I will be making more hopefully before spring and depending on popularity, Ill most likely sell them through my website and possibly offer "other" scoop options in the future.

Just so you all know, looks like your talking about two different things.

1) WS6 ram air hood scoops from ls1

2) Old school TA scoops (Morgan)

Trans-AM scoops for fenders

Trans-AM scoops for fenders

I was referring to the scoops on the fenders, not the hood. I'm going to splurge on the ACTUAL Ram-Air hood from carhoods.com for like $5/600. I like the idea of the side scoops, so the cool outsider air is being sent right to the turbo! The hoods nice, but not my stilo (style). Thanks for looking, Josh
