Turbo gone bad?

hey i have a 91 syclone and something went wrong. there is a really high pitched sound (i thought it was a cop at first because of a siren)
and it is coming from the turbo. Does any1 know what is wrong with it?

My crystal ball says that a piece of the air crossover tube broke off and your turbo ingested it. Pull the crossover and look at the compressor blades.

Making a couple of assumptions on my part that the noise is with boost I’d check for air leaks on the turbo to IC hose, connections ect. Ic to TB hose? If the sound varies with boost it may be an air leak. Take the hose off the front of the turbo and check the compressor wheel. Bad bearing allowing the wheel to touch the housing?? Those are my first two guesses.

hey i knwo that it is not the intercooler to TB tube. some1 else said that and i messed around with it and it does not seem like the noise is coming from there. but i think i will take the turbo apart and see if somethign is wrong.
