Re: Turbo Regals and Us

we were just talking about this the other day.....what bad ass cars were there when we were middle school and high school days.

There was 1 Typhoon in HS, the teacher with the 79 Vette, a few C4's, a handful of IROCs, tons of 5.0 Mustangs, my dads Road Runner and Monte SS, but I dont remember seeing many GN's. I think that just like now, they have always been kind of pricey.
I believe that my middle school principal had a red 86 vette.
(and not saying that all the above are bad ass)

When I was a kid in late '70's SoCal,60's/early '70's muscle cars were like grains of sand on a beach. My dad had a '60 Falcon with a FI '62 Vette engine, neighbor had a 454 stuffed into a LUV,and my babysitter drove a L78 69 Camaro 4-speed. She was hot as **** slamming those gears.

When I was in high school the parking lot was full of big block everything.

Before the fire had a nice 86 GN with the Ty. But after the fire I have a crispy GN but the Ty should be done next week hopefully. I'm still debating on getting another TR to go with the Ty.

Re: Turbo Regals and Us

I had the Syclone first, then got the GN about a year ago. The two are worlds apart, they are both turbo GM and that's about it. Syclone handles like a vette, GN handles well like a Buick Regal! GN outrides the SY 5 fold. Me and dad go to some of the local car shows, GN gets more attention than the Syclone, but it seems like the ones that know what the Syclone is,are suprisingly well versed.
