ty battery relocate

Ok Im moving the battery in ty either to the drivers side or under the car in the back somewhere, question is has anybody ever found a good place to mount a battery under a typhoon? Im thinking a tiny battery back where the air pump was might work

I put mine back there but I used a large battery and it was a very long/involved process.

These pics are all from before I cleaned, de-rusted, and painted my frame/undercarriage...

This got tacked/bolted in, hit with seam sealer, then painted:

I made an aluminum box that bolts to the frame for the battery to sit in:

I ran a negative and positive cable up front.. The positive cable is loomed, there are grommets where it goes through anything, and in some places its inside PVC pipe..

I'll snap some good finished pics the next time I have it up on the lift.

I really like having the battery relocated and I love the fact that its not inside the truck. This was however a ton of work to accomplish..

i found my 05 Chevy SSr's battery under the pasenger side of the truck, rear cargo area. The ssr is finding it's way to the salvage yard quicker than you think. The box assembly could be used for other vehicles, to include ty's. Insurance companies are totaling those out for minor body damages due to non-availability of new parts suppliers. Cleveland Pick-a-part as well as Schram's are grabing these trucks up quick... If you need/Want a GM sealed battery box assembly, this could be an option.
