Hmmm, I just noticed this section. And so, I'll post why I'm looking to get a ty.
My car is a 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme olds350, fairly built (360hp/410ft.lb)
the only downside is it's an TH350 with hiway gears(3.0?), still goes pretty good though. Anyway, I just finished getting it re-tuned and broken in from the last rebuild, my dad was itching to see what it was like. Off a straight stretch in the middle of nowhere, my dad(he's got the ty) and I found a stoplight(few and far between where we were). Light turned and my dad was about 5 lengths ahead by the time I got good traction, caught up a bit but he still stayed a good 4+ lengths ahead until we let off. And the real letdown... I had had to stop for gas on the way home(he refilled the next week)
I hope I can do better once I get the 3.90 gearset I want.
