Looking to get a new insulator / pad for under the hood. Anyone know of good source?

Its still available from GM, part # 15659223. List price is $97.00 and wholesale about $70.00. You probably won't find one worth using at a salvage yard.

Someone some time ago, was talking about making them with the SyTy logos embossed in them.

I know there is a guy who makes them for the GNs with the logos and such printed or embossed.

Be worth digging into if no one ever made them.

I personally never put one back on my cowl hood and prefer the look of a painted hood to that ratty crap.

i personally ditched mine last week end...... no noticable difference what so ever..... only thing i dont like is that under it was primer and not paint..... odd considering under my dads it was painted.... o well new hood is in the plan for later down the road
