Wow. Looks like you got it down to a science Ed. Nice runs. Hey, was that a L you smoked in both videos? Imagine that, a L losing to a syclone.

yeah i ran against 3 L's that night. all of em got to watch me light up the scoreboard for em. LOL

as you can see a tuning change shortened the spool time drastically.

I wonder what would happen if we tried a bigger exhaust housing like a 1.34...... :D

Much better spoolup than before Ed very nice. What did you have to change?

not my small exhaust housing.

actually harry made a change in the dfi gen7.

very very big difference... I am also getting better (quicker when i stage)

I am actually not watching the light but listening for the rev limiter in thses pics. as youcan see its pretty much spooled before the tree gets all the way down.

keep in mind the starter knows we are trying to better our no 6 ranking in the top 10 list so he was waiting (i think) till he can tell it is ready to go. i.e He wants to see the somb run to! lol

phil

sure i did. I said above "actually harry made a change in the dfi gen7. "

nobody here uses the gen7 so if i told y'all we turned off the boost builder feature and just went with the rev limiter only i dont think it would mean anyting to anyone.... I think you are the only one using a rev limiter besides myself here!

Thank you sir for the info. The rev limiter has so many advantages I cant believe more people dont use it. I have been using it for a year and love it. Kinda like the green dots I guess....you just gotta try it

phil from what i have seen here most everyone seems to just get in line and do what everyone else does. vary from the normal recipe here and you get hung out. others thought i was nuts with the gauges and tools in the truck but we have used every one of them to do this. that brake solenoid thing i have... gives me 2200 psi braeking force.
Dont think anyone else here ever put a gauge on their brakes to mesure just how they worked.

shame i used the 412 cam. Think this would have been a 9.xx had we used a cam with a higher power range. the 412 is out of air at the top end.

I think its someting like 3800 is the peak torq rpm and with theses trucks the only time you see or feel it is at launch.

anyway we got more comin in a few weeks.

squeezing this transheild around the 400 is a bit of a squeeze. Hoping to finish it tomorrow. however i wont actually knowif it fits under the floor unitl the last step of putting the corssmemeber back up.... I know :D i got a big hammer around here someplace.

Not takin any chances with tech... i woant this thing on before i go back.

I have been using the rev limiter for a long time know it works grate. it makes the start so quick you do not have to look at gauges on the line just set it and mash the gas and go 8)

I have been wanting to use one, but my truck has been down for awhile so I haven't had a chance to try it out. Which brand are you using Phillip?
