are vortec heads really worth the money. Do they flow that much better than the stock.

Absolutely. Have you ever seen a stock heads intake ports? Garbage.

I would venture to say the Vortec intake port is at least 1.5 times larger and a completely different shape.

Also as mentioned, the heart shaped combustion chamber of the Vortec head is less prone to detonation than the factory design.

stock for stock 20hp. with some work I'd say 50 or more
