i figured that since i have everything out and apart and and since I'm making a lot of changes
it was time for a spot to keep it all together


new route for the fuel return line

added the water/alky nozzle... the water line is just there for reference for routing later



Turbo + waste gate flanges + oil drain

i think that's the trans they use for the SC3800 and its a common upgrade for those guys
I prefer to stir my own lol so i stay with the MG2 5sp. The new MG 6sp is a common mod but you
have to change a lot of stuff and its expensive.

update
when I relocated the turbo I knew the range shifter cable bracket that
also holds the clutch slave cylinder was going to have to be massaged
I cut horizontaly then met that cut with a vertical one efectivly making
a 90* slice. I moved the cable portion back about an inch and lowered it
about a 1/4 then rotated it clockwise a few degrees. I drilled and tapped
for a 3/8 bolt to lock it in place for mocking up. My welder guy told me
cast aluminum is a bitch to weld with out warpage and pores opening up
and made some suggestions about V grooving it for a better result.

the first few shots are "as is from the welder" the installed pics are after
I filed and sanded it a little.

i came up with a larger intercooler solution that didnt require cutting the trunk brace
also some pics of the notch in the chassis

these are just the mock up pics for the IC..

I think that the most common auto swap for the 3800sc2 is the 4t65e-hd auto (it is what I used in my swap)





as for the G6 6speed, there isn't any gains for that swap. The final drive gear is almost the same as the Getrag 5spd final gear. so you end up with another gear in the middle, wich you don't need seeing as you are piloting a 2600lb car.
