walboro 255 fuel pump should i get this for a stock truck it is going to remain stock i was wonder if it would supply to much fuel? or should i just get it becuase more reliable?
suggestions need a fuel pump would like to get it ordered so i have it soon thanks to all in advance:tup:

It is a better pump than stock. It will provide more flow of fuel to the injectors and a little more pressure. If you use a AFR you can up the pressure to your injectors there by helping to eleminate lean conditions at WOT. Alot of people use them.

I installed a Walbro 255 "High Pressure" pump in my truck in 2001 when it was stock and it's still going strong 7 years and 50,000 miles later. The only caveat is it whines a bit louder, no big deal. The fuel pressure regulator ensures that the truck won't get any "extra" fuel cruising around town compared to what it would with a fresh stock pump, it just allows for a lot more maximum capacity at Wide Open Throttle.

Definitely a recommended pump/mod even for a stock truck.

I just installed mine and set the fuel pressure at 42lbs, runs great. With stock injectors...should i dial the pressure up more for the WOT lean possibility ??:dunno:

Or just leave it where I've set it ? ( no mods as yet,but will be installing a Ultimate)

If it's a stock truck, keep the stock FP setting. Tweaking a pound or two here and there will help dial in overall lean/rich conditions. I'm sure you have a scan tool, just keep an eye on the O2 voltage, and if it starts to dip consistently, then add a pound or so, and try again.

Also, I put a Walbro 255 in my 4cyl S10 about two years ago. Great little pump. Definitely more than I'll ever need!

i dont know if it was just me but when i ran the stock fpr with the walbro the fp was 12psi to high. had to install a apfr to run properly.

well i will have to check that a i have an afpr i got from a friend and if i have to i guess i will install it if needed but the truck is staying stock
