Weird knock issue

I am getting massive knock counts during normal driving and upon startup (about 2000 or 3000 knock counts after start). I then can rev the engine in neutral and get more knock counts and also spark retard (up to 20 degrees). I have verified that there is no physical source of the knock (engine sounds good with a stethoscope, no metal to metal contact, etc). I have replaced the whole ignition system (cap, rotor, wires, plugs, distributor and coil). Plugs didn’t have many (if any) detonation specks. I have tried other chips that I have (including the stock chip / map / injectors) and I have the same problem. I have replaced the Knock sensor, ECM, Fuel Pump, new fuel pump wiring, and many other parts.
The one thing that I saw is that in the document for the Ultimate 50# chip, Valet mode is supposed to be in closed loop and mine does not do that. The truck seems to run fine though, idle is good, startup is good, and it seems to have decent power (if it weren’t for the ignition retard occurring). Has anyone seen this happen? Maybe something electical?

Engine Info:
Here is my setup:
Built Engine
-Forged Internals
-Ported L35 Heads
-1.6 Roller Harland Rockers
-4bolt Main
-Balanced
- Crane Cam has grind # HR-194/271-2-12
PTE 52 Turbo
Ceramic Coated Exhaust
50# Injectors
Ultimate 50# Chip with Gauge and LED
RoadMaster Trans and TransferCase
2800 Stall Converter
Solid Motor Mounts
Probably more, but can't think of anything right now.

Any ideas or help would be appreciated.

Chip not seated properly. *edit* well when mine was doing the same thing,my chip was only 1/2 way plugged in.

Yeah, I have checked the chip, and it is seated correctly. I have seen that when it is not in there correcly, the knock counts never stops.

Re: Weird knock issue

The wrong knock sensor will cause it. The Ultimate hardware could potentially cause it. The memcal could be bad.

Re: Weird knock issue

Here are things I have also tried:
Went back to stock chip, stock injectors, 2bar map. - Same problem
Tried my other custom chip - Same problem

I am leaning towards the harland roller rockers. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone in the area or somewhere close I can drive to and show you? I am running out of ideas. Thanks for all the input.
